Minnesota Gifts for a Minnesota Theme Party

As Christmas 2010 approached I was very homesick for my family, friends and Minnesota food and traditions. I now live in California and I decided to be hostess to a Minnesota Christmas. I shopped online for months to find the perfect gifts, many of them rather silly, for my California friends.

Below is a list of the treasures I located that are available for shipment to California from Minnesota.

1. Buck Naked Underwear for Men This highly rated gift is available in a special "man can" with a hilarious presentation of the product. I was impressed with the quality of the product line, which includes long underwear and t-shirts. This will also make a great birthday gift for anyone, but it is a very thoughtful gift for a Minnesota native living in another state. The elastic waistband says, "Duluth Trading Post". My friends loved this gift.

2. Crapola This unique gift comes from Ely, Minnesota. It is a blend of granola with cranberries, apples, almonds and pecans. The young couple that started the business of selling Crapola is a special story of success, hard work and creativity. This is also a high quality, nutritious product and it brings a smile to the face of those purchasing and receiving the product.

3. Old Dutch Potato Chips Old Dutch Potato Chips are a Minnesota tradition. Old Dutch started their business in 1934 in St. Paul, MN. The company distributes only in several states, including Minnesota, Wisconsin, North and South Dakota, Iowa and the UP area of Michigan.
Fortunatly, Bob's Produce is a local vendor that will ship this product to you at a reasonable cost. "BoB's Produce is a family-owned business and has been in operation since 1959. BoB's Produce is an Authorized Retailer for "Old Dutch Foods" and has been selling Old Dutch Potato Chips on-line since 1998." They will also ship other Minnesota favorites, including Pearson's Salted Nut Roll, Nut Goodie Bars and Creamette Brand macaroni.

4. I also selected Minnesota Beer Bread in a Bottle from the Minnesota Bound - Love From Minnesota store.
